Grawlix looks super cool, and kudos on great branding and an adorable mascot! I'm thinking about using it for my comic, and I have a couple of questions about it.
Does Grawlix support content delivery networks like Amazon Cloudfront? For instance can I host Grawlix on Dreamhost shared hosting but host all the comic pages on AWS? It's a matter of trying to plan for cost and scalability. I already have a Dreamhost shared hosting account, which is super affordable, but over the years I've witnessed many webcomic artists have issues with shared hosting the minute their comics outgrow it, which often results in a ton of unexpected fees and downtime. Virtual private servers or dedicated servers would prevent that, but they can also be significantly more costly, which is a gamble when you're first starting out and have no idea yet if your comic is just gonna niche or actually have an audience. In short a combination of the two seems like it would be the best bet, and I'm wondering if Grawlix will work with that or if not, if there are plans in to future to build it into it with future versions.
Some webcomics incorporate HTML5, Flash, gifs, and even YouTube videos in place of strips. I see from the documentation that there is gif support, which is awesome. As far as HTML5, Flash, or YouTube links, is there an easy way to do this in Grawlix or does each comic page require images as content?
