Hi! I tried to find this question in the forum but I didn't have any luck. If this question has already been addressed, please send me a link! Otherwise...
I have an existing site (HTTP://comics-for-grownups.com) that's written in raw HTML without a content management system. The home page of the site currently lives on index.html, but when visitors go to the root directory, the browser displays the contents of index.html, and the URL address field reads HTTP://comics-for-grownups.com. (note: I've got about 35 or so pages in my site so far).
What I wanted to do was integrate Grawlix into my existing site, e.g. I would like to add a link to the site's current navigation that points to grawlix content, and visitors can click the link to read the comic online through the Grawlix interface. Most of the links in the grawlix navigation would point back to pages in the regular site.
However, what is happening is that when I upload the unmodified HTACCESS file that came with Grawlix, the site's existing home page (e.g. the contents of index.html) is replaced with the default Grawlix home page. That is, the HTACCESS file is instructing the browser to ignore the existing index.html and instead pull the contents of index.php.
Is there an easy way to have grawlix leave the existing home page alone, and simply exist in its own folder? This way I will just need to revise the navigation of the site to point to the Grawlix contents.
Thanks!
