Hello. I'm a part-time comic-type-person and sought this CMS as a solution to handle the backlog of strips I've accumulated over the past decade or so.
I have a dedicated local server on my premises. It is up to spec for this software, and has a dedicated MySQL database. My problem is thus:
I followed the installation instructions on this website to the letter. I had a minor trifle getting firstrun to accept my local host, but it was all solved after changing one digit in the IP. I have set up Grawlix to recognize my server, the database, and the login credentials have all been established through the firstrun interface. I was sent to the final page of firstrun, which told me to copy the generated code to config.php, login to the admin panel and delete first run.
Now I can't log in to the admin panel. If firstrun was supposed to generate anything in my database when I told it my admin username and password, it didn't, as the database has no such entries. Config.php has the credentials for the database login and password, but I cannot use them to log in to the admin panel. Either something is not communicating correctly along the way or I have misunderstood a step in the installation process. To clarify, I am not getting a 404 error. The login screen operates perfectly, but it will not accept any of my credentials (including e-mail.)
So in brief, how should I go about logging into the admin panel? Is there something I missed in config.php? If so, what? Is there something I have done wrong in the installation? Should I re-install? Would re-installing cause more problems than solve? Is there something firstrun missed? Is there a way to manually input this information somewhere? If so, where should it go, how should it be formatted, and is there a specific step somewhere that would render manual overrides irrelevant?
