First, the vitals: I'm running Grawlix 1.2 through Firefox on Windows 10. My host uses CPanel 56.0.18, MySQL Community Server 5.5.49 and PHP 5.4.
I installed Grawlix, and after a few tweaks here and there and uploading a placeholder page, everything seemed to go well... until I mass-imported a few of my comics. They show up in book view, but if I try to click "First" or "Previous" on my page, I get a 404 error.
Apparently it tries to go to a "comic" folder in my root directory which never got created (I put one in myself after the fact), and looking at one of the images I uploaded it goes to some weird directory "/assets/images/comics/(bunch of numbers)/my comic image".
I go to "Health Check" and get this message: "Grawlix needs permission to add images to certain folders. / .htaccess file not found." However, my site works ONLY if the file is named "htaccess.txt". If i rename it ".htaccess" or if I make a copy of it and call it ".htaccess" I get a 500 server error if I try to access the admin panel.
So is there any way you can help me out of this mess and get my comics to where they're supposed to be?
